Description
IRC-seattle (IRC-sea) will fill the GAP access to culturally competent and linguistically accessible mental health services by providing a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services to survivors of human trafficking in king county, WA so that they may prevent and manage the impacts of traumatic and toxic stress. Primary activities include individual counseling, group support, and case management services to unduplicated survivors annually, and training and technical assistance to providers annually to increase their capacity to serve survivors. IRC-sea recognizes that survivors often come from historically underserved and marginalized communities who experience greater health and mental health inequities and has made strategic efforts to identify and provide services to survivors from any community, from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, languages, ages, gender orientations, and identities. IRC-sea seeks to continue its commitment to culturally, linguistically, and age-appropriate services to survivors of all forms of human trafficking through the proposed project, which promotes racial equity, the removal of barriers to access and opportunity, and provides services to survivors of any form of human trafficking from anybackground.
