The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians received a $257,025.00 Project Grant award from the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Victims of Crime under the FY 2023 VOCA Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside Program (CFDA 16.841). The award will be used to implement comprehensive victim services for the tribal community that align with their identified needs and cultural values and traditions. Funded activities may include direct assistance, outreach, training, and capacity building to serve victims of crime in the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians community. The multi-year project period runs from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026.

Little traverse BAY bands of odawa indians will use this FY 2023 tvssa award to implement services for victims of crime that meet needs identified by the community and reflect tribal community values and traditions. This aligns with the congressional intent for the set-aside from the CVF, which was created in 2018 to improve services for victims of crime in tribal communities. OVC administers the tvssa via a formula. Tvssa funds may be used for any purpose directly related to serving victims of crime.
