Description

HR initiatives' care team expansion project will utilize a collective impact approach to withstand the challenges and barriers of service delivery in both urban and rural settings to deliver increased collaborative outreach efforts, intensive case management services and specialized therapeutic mental health services. HR recovery is committed to high quality services that are survivor informed, trauma informed, culturally competent and evidenced based. This approach purposefully creates the atmosphere for quality engagement, allowing survivors the choice within service delivery that fosters self-sufficiency, empowerment, safety, and wellbeing and ultimately achieved goals. The project will focus on the following objectives: 1) expand current outreach efforts and resource distribution to underserved areas (in support of executive order 13985) to increase newly served victims of human trafficking; 2) employ a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach to case management for each victim to improve the delivery of health related services, provision of material and housing, client safety and wellbeing, family repatriation and support services; 3) expand existing multi-disciplinary referrals to better meet the individualized needs of victims of human trafficking by identifying new community stakeholders and collaborators; 4) strengthen survivor mentoring and networking through increased referrals/agency collaborations with local survivor mentors, survivor led programming and national survivor networks; 5) provide 100% of victims with culturally and linguistically appropriate services; and 6) conduct 12 training events annually to promote trauma informed services for human trafficking victims.
