FUNDS WILL BE UTILIZED TO PROVIDE SPECIALIZED TRAINING TO SCHOOL POLICE OFFICERS AND SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICERS ON THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: VIOLENCE PREVENTION, CHILD AND ADOLESCENT DEVELOPMENT, THE IMPACTS OF TRAUMA ON STUDENTS, LEADERSHIP AND WORKING EFFECTIVELY WITH THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY, THREAT ASSESSMENT, MENTORING STUDENTS, RESPONDING TO THE MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS OF STUDENTS, AND CRIME PREVENTION THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN.
