This $750,000 project grant from the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Bureau of Justice Assistance will support the Medina County Adult Drug Court Program (Medina Intervention Program or MIP) through September 30, 2026. The MIP provides evidence-based substance use treatment court services for up to 40 non-violent offenders with diagnosed substance use disorders in Medina, Ohio. Services include medication-assisted treatment, transportation for treatment, ongoing case management and supervision for 15-36 months. Funding will enhance current court operations and recovery support services while allowing collection of outcome data through the Ohio Community Supervision Systems to evaluate effectiveness. The grant is awarded under the Treatment Court Discretionary Grant Program (CFDA 16.585), which aims to support adult treatment courts and criminal justice professionals with resources to implement and sustain evidence-based treatment programs for individuals with substance use disorders.
