About this award

The Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women awarded Turning Points Network $500,000 on October 1, 2025, under the Transitional Housing Assistance Grants for Victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Stalking, or Sexual Assault program (CFDA 16.736).

Turning Points Network, a nonprofit based in Claremont, New Hampshire, operates eight scattered-site transitional housing residences in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, serving survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking and their families. The program provides victim-centered transitional housing and comprehensive support services designed to move survivors from homelessness or housing instability to permanent housing. Clients receive assistance for a minimum of six months and a maximum of 24 months. Services include case management, counseling, limited legal assistance, safety planning, childcare support, transportation assistance, and rental and utility assistance, tailored to address the distinct needs of rural populations and survivors facing barriers related to geographic location, disability, language, and other circumstances.

The award runs through September 30, 2028. Turning Points Network implements the project in collaboration with Teaching Love Connections and Southwestern Community Services. The program serves a continuation grant purpose, supporting victim-centered approaches to housing and integration assistance in rural areas where emergency shelter or crisis intervention services are unavailable or insufficient.

Description

The program is intended to provide assistance to victims for whom emergency shelter services or other crisis intervention services are unavailable or insufficient. Turning points network, a non-profit organization located in claremont, new hampshire, will implement turning points network's transitional housing program project through the provision of victim-centered approaches to transitional housing needs, in collaboration with teaching love connections and southwestern community servies.
