The Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women awarded $500,000 to the Center For The Pacific-Asian Family, Inc. on October 1, 2025, under the Transitional Housing Assistance Grants for Victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Program (CFDA 16.736).
The recipient will operate the Pathway of Opportunity Toward Independence, Self-Reliance, and Economic Stability Project, providing communal transitional housing residences and victim-centered supportive services to survivors and their families in Los Angeles, California. The project serves minors, adults, and dependents who are homeless or in need of housing assistance as a result of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Clients will receive housing assistance for an anticipated minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 24 months. Support services include case management, economic stabilization plans, financial literacy, public benefits enrollment, job training, English as a Second Language, life skills training, and career coaching, with follow-up services available post-housing placement.
The Center For The Pacific-Asian Family specializes in culturally responsive services for Asian and Pacific Islander communities experiencing violence. The organization collaborates with LTSC Community Development Corporation to implement this continuation award.
