The Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women awarded $600,000 to Enlace Comunitario on October 1, 2025, under the Justice Systems Response to Families Program (CFDA 16.021) to enhance court capacity and expand civil legal services for domestic violence survivors in the Albuquerque area.
Enlace Comunitario will deliver court-based training to enhance the Second Judicial District Court's capacity to address domestic violence cases, implement an integrated domestic violence court model, and provide civil legal services to approximately 225 survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The organization carries out this work in partnership with the New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Second Judicial District Court.
Performance runs through September 30, 2028, with work conducted in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Justice Systems Response to Families Program supports court-based and court-related programs, supervised visitation and safe exchange, training for court system personnel, civil legal services, and juvenile court resources—all designed to improve civil and criminal justice system response to families affected by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and child sexual abuse allegations.
