The Georgia Legal Services Program, Inc. was awarded a $500,000 Project Grant under the U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women's Legal Assistance for Victims (LAV) Grant Program (CFDA 16.524). Through this 2-year grant, the organization will provide comprehensive civil and criminal legal services to survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking in 40 counties served by its Gainesville and Augusta regional offices. The legal assistance will cover a range of matters, including protective orders, divorce, custody, visitation, child/spousal support, and securing financial benefits. This grant supports the Georgia Legal Services Program's holistic approach to delivering civil legal aid to underserved victims in rural Georgia communities.
