The YWCA Knoxville and Tennessee Valley received a $475,000 Project Grant award from the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women to support its Safer and Stronger Transitional Housing Program. The grant funding will support the Transitional Housing Assistance for Victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Stalking, or Sexual Assault program (CFDA #16.736) from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2024.
The Safer and Stronger Transitional Housing Program will provide transitional housing assistance and related support services to minors, adults, and their dependents who are homeless or need housing assistance due to domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, or sexual assault. The program aims to help victims transition to permanent housing and independence through the provision of short-term shelter and support services.
