The Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Program awarded $500,000 to the City of Roseville, Minnesota on October 1, 2025 under the COPS Hiring Program (CFDA 16.068) to hire and rehire career law enforcement officers and expand the city's community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts. Performance runs through September 30, 2030 with place of performance in Lauderdale, Minnesota. The funding supports the City of Roseville's planned community partnerships, implementation of projects to analyze and assess public safety problems, changes to personnel and agency management in support of community policing, and increased agency capacity to engage in community policing activities. The recipient will submit semiannual programmatic performance reports and quarterly federal financial reports to the COPS Office, along with a final closeout report upon completion.
