Description
The baltimore police department will use FY24 safer outcomes funding to facilitate the integration of key DE-escalation concepts from integrating communications assessment and tactics (ICAT), active bystandership for law enforcement (ABLE), insight policing conflict resolution for law enforcement (CRLE), and roca REWIRE4 (RR) throughout its existing basic recruit certification academy. This will result in the implementation of more effective DE-escalation training in the basic academy, the creation of more curriculum development capacity within the agency, and the generation of knowledge that will inform the entire police training community.
