Description

In partnership with force concepts, experts in curriculum development and integration will leverage a recent job task analysis (JTA) to develop valid and reliable learning objectives that reflect the current demands and challenges faced by law enforcement officers. The curriculum will include scenario-based practical exercises mapped to potential integration points within the learning objectives and training topics. This mapping process will identify where and how DE-escalation skills can be incorporated to reinforce learning and application across topics and throughout the academy. The project will also produce scenario-based practical exercises, grading rubrics, and assessment questions that align with the newly developed learning objectives. These components will provide a robust framework for evaluating the effectiveness of the training and the proficiency of the trainees in DE-escalation techniques.
