The riverdale school district intends to use the funding to replace the aging communication system in the elementary school with 72 informacast IP speakers, 5 outdoor speakers, drop panels, servers and data runs to provide our pre-kindergarten - 6TH grade students with school wide dailiy and emergency communications. Our PA system and emergency notification systems will be used to communicate with students dailey and during emergency situtuations. We have approximately 370 students in our rural elementary school. The riverdale school district would also like to use the funds to enclose the junior high playground area at the junior/senior high building with chain link fencing. The fence would provide a boundry to deter non-students from entering the 7TH-12TH grade campus. We have approximately one hundred 7TH and 8TH grade students and a total of three hundred 7-12 grade students. The riverdale school district serves families in grant, richland, iowa and crawford counties. Its serves 17 different municipalities including avoca, blue river and muscoda.
