SHEBOYGAN COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE IS SEEKING TO DEPLOY A VIRTUAL REALITY (VR) SIMULATOR TO TRAIN ALL ITS OFFICERS TO COMBAT THE EMERGING THREATS FACING OUR COMMUNITIES TODAY. IN ADDITION, WITH THE UPCOMING LAUNCH OF A SOFTWARE PRODUCT CALLED CREATOR OUR AGENCY WILL BE ABLE TO BUILD OUR OWN SCENARIOS THROUGH AN AUTHORING TOOL. WITH A FULLY-IMMERSIVE VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE, AND THE ABILITY TO CREATE SCENARIOS, I BELIEVE THIS WILL HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON OUR AGENCY, OUR OFFICERS, AND THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE. WE WOULD ALSO OPEN THE TRAINING TO OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN SHEBOYGAN COUNTY AT NO COST.
