The Prairie Grove School District was awarded a $181,125 project grant from the Department of Justice's Community Oriented Policing Services Office under the Public Safety Partnership and Community Policing Grants program. The grant will fund school safety programs and technology from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2025 to improve security at Prairie Grove schools in Arkansas. Specifically, the School Violence Prevention Program funding will support the implementation of evidence-based programs and strategies to enhance school security and foster a positive learning environment for students. The Community Policing Services Office aims to advance public safety through community policing strategies developed through collaborative partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Funding under this award program will be used by the school jurisdiction to implement evidence-based programs to improve school security and promote a positive learning environment for all students.
