Description

The michigan association of chiefs of police accreditation program have been developed and approved by the michigan law enforcement accreditation commission (MLEAC). This accreditation process is an important goal of chief jeffrey watson and all who work at the brownstown police department. Accreditation is self-initiated, voluntary process where we will complete a self-assessment against a specific set of recognized best practices as set forth by MACP. The goal is to help the brownstown police department operate more professionally in order to improve operations and promote trust in their community. By seeking accreditation through our state's recognized accreditation program, we are committing to professional excellence in leadership, resource management, and commitment of service to our community. The award from this grant will help to fund the personnel, technology, and resources needed to effectively complete the self-assessment process with the goal of achieving accreditation through the michigan association of chiefs of police.
