METROPOLITAN MINISTRIES' (MM) MISSION IS TO CARE FOR THE HOMELESS AND THOSE AT RISK OF BECOMING HOMELESS IN OUR COMMUNITY, THROUGH SERVICES THAT ALLEVIATE SUFFERING, PROMOTE DIGNITY, AND INSTILL SELF-SUFFICIENCY...AS AN EXPRESSION OF THE ONGOING MINISTRY OF JESUS CHRIST. MM SERVES ALL WHO ARE IN NEED AND DOES NOT PROSELYTIZE. THE PROPOSED VISTA PROJECT ALIGNS WITH THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES AND HEALTH FUTURES FOCUS AREAS. MM'S AMERICORPS VISTA PROJECT WILL SEEK TO RAISE AWARENESS AND INCREASE PARTNERSHIPS, BUILD ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY, INCREASE VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT AND MANAGEMENT, AND GENERATE REVENUE TO SUPPORT HOMELESS SERVICES IN TAMPA BAY.
