The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families has awarded a $14,606,140 Project Grant under the Head Start program (CFDA 93.600) to Umatilla Morrow Head Start, Inc. The grant will fund Head Start, Early Head Start, and Early Head Start/Child Care Partnership services from June 1, 2024 through May 31, 2029. These services include early childhood education, health, nutrition, social services, and parent involvement for low-income families in Oregon. As a subrecipient, Umatilla Morrow Head Start will also provide home visiting services through Oregon's Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program, as well as services for the WIC nutrition program. Additional subawards will support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) services and mentoring programs.
