DESCRIPTION:THIS ACTION PROVIDES FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $65,000 TO SUPPORT JEFFERSON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO ASSIST WITH NECESSARY DEVELOPMENT, ESTABLISHMENT, AND MAINTENANCE OF ADEQUATE MONITORING PROGRAMS FOR THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF AIR POLLUTION OR IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL PRIMARY AND SECONDARY AIR QUALITY STANDARDS.ACTIVITIES:ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: THE RECIPIENT WILL COLLECT QUALITY ASSURED PM2.5 CONCENTRATIONS AND SUBMIT RESULTS TO EPA'S NATIONAL AIR QUALITY DATABASE.SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:EXPECTED OUTCOMES INCLUDE INCREASING KNOWLEDGE REGARDING THE CHARACTER AND EXTENT OF PM2.5 IN THE AMBIENT AIR, AND THE EVENTUAL DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION OF THE STATE'S IMPLEMENTATION PLAN.
