SPECIFICALLY, THE RECIPIENT WILL REPLACE 8 OLD HEAVILY POLLUTING EQUIPMENT WITH CLEAN MACHINERY INCLUDING TWO (2) EXCAVATORS, TWO (2) RUBBER TIRE DOZER/LOADER AND FOUR (4) CRANES, TO ENHANCE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND COMPLIANCE WITH CURRENT ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS THROUGH SUBAWARDS AND, REDUCE EMISSIONS OF DIESEL PARTICULATE MATTER, NITROGEN OXIDES (NOX) AND EXPOSURE TO DIESEL AIR TOXICS IN COMMUNITIES ADJACENT TO THE PORTS OF BURBANK AND TACOMA IN PASCO, WOODINVILLE, AND TACOMA.ACTIVITIES:THE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE REPLACEMENT AND SCRAPPAGE OF NONROAD EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING TWO (2) EXCAVATORS, TWO (2) RUBBER TIRE DOZER/LOADERS, AND FOUR (4) CRANES. ALL EQUIPMENT BUT ONE CRANE, WILL BE REPLACED WITH TIER 4 NONROAD EQUIPMENT THAT IS EPA CERTIFIED.
