THIS ACTION APPROVES AN AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $68,067 TO THE WILDLIFE HABITAT COUNCIL (WHC) TO WORK WITH AUTO MANUFACTURERS AND THEIR SUPPLIERS TO IDENTIFY, DEVELOP AND ADVANCE NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS (NBS) AS EFFECTIVE TOOLS TO REDUCE AIR AND WATER POLLUTION AT THE SOURCE AND IMPROVE COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AND SUSTAINABILITY. WHC AND THE SUPPLIERS PARTNERSHIP FOR THE ENVIRONMENT WILL UNDERTAKE A KNOWLEDGE GAP ANALYSIS AND CONVENE STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS, WHICH WILL LEAD TO A SUITE OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PRODUCTS THAT WILL PROVIDE GUIDANCE TO THE AUTO INDUSTRY AT BOTH THE CORPORATE AND OPERATION LEVELS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND, IMPLEMENT, MEASURE AND REPORT ON NBS.
