THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES FUNDING TO THE COALITION FOR SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES INC. (CFSI), IN ITS EFFORTS TO REDUCE DIESEL EMISSIONS AND EXPOSURE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS, DALLAS (DALLAS), TARRANT (FT. WORTH), HARRIS (HOUSTON), AND BEXAR (SAN ANTONIO) COUNTIES. CFSI IS COORDINATING EFFORTS TO ADMINISTER A GRANT PROGRAM THAT WILL PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CLEAN DIESEL PROJECTS INVOLVING CLASS 8 COMBINATION AND SINGLE UNIT SHORT HAUL TRUCKS IN TEXAS. DIESEL EMISSION REDUCTION STRATEGIES THAT WILL BE APPLIED IN THIS PROJECT INVOLVE THE EARLY RETIREMENT OF CLASS 8 COMBINATION AND SINGLE UNIT SHORT HAUL TRUCKS AND REPLACEMENT WITH COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) TRUCKS.
