This $1,579,540 Economic Development Administration project grant funds the Pennsylvania Association of Sustainable Agriculture to connect regional agricultural supply chains in Western Pennsylvania to import partner databases and expand mapping capabilities. The project develops a centralized clearinghouse of supply chain opportunities to empower autonomous decision-making across the agriculture sector and increase the ability to pivot within changing markets in response to economic injury. It increases value within mid-tier supply chains. Funding under the Economic Adjustment Assistance program's $1.5 million award on August 26, 2021 supports these efforts to strengthen the regional economy facing adverse impacts.

This EDA investment connects all aspects of western pennsylvania regional agricultural supply chains to import partner databases and expand the mapping system inherent to the project, allowing for full-scale development of the singular site. This clearinghouse of supply chain opportunities will empower autonomous decision-making and increase the ability of those across the agriculture continuum to pivot within the market; preparing for and responding to economic injury while increasing mid-tier value chains. The project was developed in cooperation with the northwest pennsylvania regional planning and development commission
