Description

The firesense program's focus on delivering NASA science and technology to wildland fire agencies and practitioners creates opportunities for multidisciplinary engagement through on-site and live wildland fire research. The ember alliance (tea) houses the integrated research management team (irmt) a team composed of wildland fire experts who support the CO-production of wildland fire science. The firesense program has indicated significant interest in irmt support for their planned collaborative live fire/smoke research. Wildland fire work environments are inherently hazardous and where science and wildland fire operations in the U.S. Intersect live-fire research activities generally must be accompanied by on-the-ground wildland fire operational expertise to safely navigate the wildland fire environment.
