Jenks Independent School District #5 received a Formula Grant award of $321,835 from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Elementary and Secondary Education under the Indian Education Grants to Local Educational Agencies program (CFDA 84.060) for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. This award supports comprehensive educational programs designed to address the unique cultural, language, and academic needs of American Indian and Alaska Native students enrolled in the district.

The funded activities encompass academic instruction, cultural programming, teacher professional development, and targeted student support services. These initiatives are designed to enable American Indian and Alaska Native students to meet challenging state academic standards while preserving their cultural heritage. As a public school district located in Jenks, Oklahoma, the recipient serves students across Tulsa County and has demonstrated consistent engagement in supporting diverse student populations through multiple federal and state educational grants. The program requires the district to maintain administrative costs at no more than 5% of the award and to demonstrate measurable outcomes in student achievement, high school graduation rates, and culturally responsive educational activities.
