The award engages over 340 researchers across campus in balancing basic and applied research.
Performance occurs in East Lansing, Michigan, with a period of performance from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2027. The McIntire-Stennis program supports forestry research in production, utilization, and protection of forestland and trains future forestry scientists. Funds must be fully expended in the fiscal year of appropriation, though current policy permits up to 50 percent carryover into the following fiscal year, with carryover funds expended by September 30 of that year.
