APPLICATION PURPOSE: THE CAPE ANN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (CATA) IS REQUESTING A TOTAL OF $1024000 OF SECTION 5307 URBANIZED AREA FORMULA PROGRAM FUNDS ($547128 FROM FFY20 AND $476872 FROM FFY21) APPORTIONED TO THE BOSTON UZA (SPLIT LETTERS SIGNED 03/05/20 AND 03/08/21 ARE ATTACHED) TO FINANCE A PROGRAM OF PROJECTS THAT WILL ENABLE CATA TO CONTINUE PROVIDING RELIABLE RESPONSIBLE AND SAFE TRANSIT SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC. THIS GRANT MAY BE AMENDED IN THE FUTURE TO ADD ADDITIONAL PROJECTS.; ACTIVITIES PERFORMED: THE PURCHASE OF TWO 35 LOW FLOOR HEAVY DUTY DIESEL TRANSIT BUSES TO REPLACE 1 2001 30-FOOT MEDIUM DUTY CHANCE TROLLEY AND 1 2003 CHANCE TROLLEY 30 THAT HAVE REACHED THE END OF THEIR USEFUL LIFE IN 2011 AND 2013.
