The Department of Housing and Urban Development Public and Indian Housing Office awarded $111,770 to Clearwater Housing Authority under the Public Housing Operating Fund (CFDA 14.850) on January 1, 2026.
The recipient will use operating funds to support day-to-day operational expenses of public housing units, including management and operations, routine and preventative maintenance, anti-crime and security activities, energy costs, resident supportive services, insurance, and administrative costs required under the 1937 Housing Act and program regulations. Clearwater Housing Authority administers public housing programs serving lower-income families in the Belleair, Florida area.
The award runs through December 31, 2030. The Public Housing Operating Fund provides operating subsidies to housing authorities nationwide to assist in funding operating and maintenance expenses of their dwellings, supporting approximately 6,000 housing authorities serving 1.59 million public housing residents in 902,436 households.
