About this award
The U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service (DOI FWS) Region 1 awarded $421,244 to the State of Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) on August 15, 2025, under the Sport Fish Restoration program (CFDA 15.605). The project will restore safe recreational boating access at the East Mooring Basin in Astoria, Oregon by removing and disposing of deteriorated docks and floating structures that exceed 30 years in age and present safety hazards, and replacing them with new docks and boarding facilities. The project completion date is June 30, 2027.
ODFW will pass through the funding to the Port of Astoria as a sub-grantee to execute the dock removal, disposal, and fabrication and installation of new boarding docks at the East Mooring Basin.
