Description

Ohios division of wildlife works under a comprehensive management system (CMS) that defines our methods of operating through the linking of programs, financial systems, human resources, products, and services to reach long-term goals. This interconnected system describes our way of doing business, and communicates the agencys long-term vision to our stakeholders. The division of wildlifes strategic plan (2021-2030) provides a common vision of the future of fish and wildlife in ohio. IT is a forward- looking document and is designed to encourage action, anticipate public demand, and identify management problems that impede satisfaction of that demand. Each program area within the division (wildlife, fisheries, information education, and support and services) has also established mid-term tactical plan goals that provide more detailed outcomes associated and related strategies that will be used to achieve the preferred direction over the duration of the plan. Operational plan gives life to the strategic and tactical plans. Here, specific outcomes, objectives, and strategies identified in tactical plans are turned into projects, in which we organize tasks and allocate resources (funds and human resources). All operational projects and associated activities will meet eligibility requirements as outlined in 50 CFR 80 with respect to the sport fish restoration act.
