About this award

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $149,972 Emergency Solutions Grant (CFDA 14.231) to the County of Sonoma, California to provide essential homeless services. The grant funding enables the county to engage homeless individuals, improve emergency shelters, provide shelter operations and essential services, and implement homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing assistance. The county has sub-awarded portions of the grant to local non-profit organizations, including West County Community Services for public outreach and The Living Room Center for homeless prevention services targeting low-income households. These comprehensive homeless assistance activities aim to quickly regain permanent housing stability for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing crises across the Sonoma County region.
