About this award
The Office Of Highway Safety, a U.S. State Government entity, has received a $105,600.33 Formula Grant award from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under the National Priority Safety Programs (CFDA 20.616). This grant supports the implementation of various highway safety programs and evidence-based countermeasures in New Hampshire, with the goal of reducing crashes, injuries, and fatalities on public roads.
The grant funds will be used to deliver data-driven initiatives such as enforcement patrols, DUI checkpoints, traffic safety advertising campaigns, child passenger safety programs, equipment and training for law enforcement, and upgrades to state traffic data systems. These efforts target key highway safety priorities like occupant protection, impaired driving, distracted driving, motorcyclist safety, and non-motorized road user safety. The Office Of Highway Safety collaborates with sub-awardees, including the New Hampshire Department of Safety, Department of Justice Office of the Attorney General, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and municipal police departments, to implement these grant-funded activities across the state.
