About this award

The Pima Association of Governments (PAG) was awarded a $446,236.66 Formula Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration under the Highway Planning and Construction program (CFDA 20.205) on December 9, 2021. The grant will support PAG's two-year work program of activities from state fiscal years 2022 through 2023. As the designated metropolitan planning organization for the Tucson region, PAG will use the funding to carry out regional transportation planning and coordination efforts. This includes developing long-range transportation plans and short-range transportation improvement programs, as well as conducting related modeling, data collection, and technical studies. The grant funds will also allow PAG to provide local governments and other partners with planning assistance. The State of Arizona, through the Arizona Department of Transportation Intermodal Transportation Division, is the parent recipient and will oversee grant implementation activities.
