About this award

The Texas Department of Transportation was awarded $1.5 million on March 8, 2021 from the Federal Highway Administration under the Highway Planning and Construction federal grant program (CFDA 20.205) to improve traffic signals at five intersections in the city of Dallas. Specifically, the funding will support work to upgrade traffic signals at the intersections of Brockbank Drive at Lombardy Lane; Illinois Avenue and Vernon Avenue; Ferguson Road at Maylee and Shiloh Road; Cedar Springs Road at Douglas Avenue; and Olive Street at San Jacinto Street. The goal is to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow through infrastructure upgrades at these key locations in the Dallas transportation network.
