The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families awarded the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families $4,321,769 on October 1, 2025, under the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Child Welfare Services Program (CFDA 93.645), a formula grant to support child welfare social services. The award funds the development and expansion of coordinated child and family services programs utilizing community-based agencies across Minnesota through September 30, 2027. Recipients must submit a five-year agency plan jointly developed with the Secretary of Health and Human Services and written after consultation with public and nonprofit private agencies and community-based organizations. The plan must coordinate the provision of services under title IV-B with services under other Federal or federally assisted programs serving the same populations. Plans or annual updates are due June 30 each year, with approval or disapproval occurring by September 30 within 60 days of submission. Post-award, the Division of Payment Management establishes an account from which the recipient draws down funds. The program operates under 45 CFR Parts 75, 1355, and 1357, and Program Instructions ACYF-CB-PI-24-02 and ACYF-CB-PI-24-03.
