The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families awarded $370,000 to the New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence on October 1, 2025, under the Family Violence Prevention and Services/State Domestic Violence Coalitions program (CFDA 93.591). The award funds the coalition to provide education, support, and technical assistance to domestic violence service providers; serve as an information clearinghouse and primary point of contact on domestic violence for New Mexico; and support development of policies, protocols, and procedures to enhance domestic violence intervention and prevention statewide. The New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence, a tax-exempt nonprofit based in Albuquerque, functions as the state coalition designated to advance comprehensive responses to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The award period runs through September 30, 2027, with place of performance in New Mexico. The coalition has historically coordinated victim services, provided training and technical assistance to member organizations, implemented language access services for crime victims, developed lethality assessments for law enforcement and prosecution, and conducted systemic gap analysis through community focus groups across multiple regions.
