On September 30, 2025, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) awarded $623,050 to Crockett Resource Center under the ACL Centers for Independent Living program (CFDA 93.432). This two-year formula grant, with completion scheduled for September 29, 2027, supports the organization's operations as a Center for Independent Living (CIL) serving individuals with disabilities across Texas.
Under this award, Crockett Resource Center delivers a comprehensive array of core independent living services designed to enhance self-determination and community integration for individuals with significant disabilities. These services include information and referral assistance, independent living skills training, peer counseling, individual and systems advocacy, and transition support from institutional to community-based settings. As a consumer-controlled, community-based, cross-disability nonprofit organization, the center operates within Texas's statewide network of CILs to promote the full inclusion and participation of individuals with disabilities in civic and social life while supporting their independence and productivity.
