The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living awarded $696,294 to the Disability Advocacy Center through the ACL Centers for Independent Living Formula Grant program (CFDA 93.432) for the period of September 30, 2022 through September 29, 2024. This funding will support the Statewide network of centers for independent living and provide financial assistance to centers that comply with standards and assurances to promote a philosophy of independent living, including consumer control, peer support, self-help, self-determination, equal access, and individual and system advocacy. The Centers for Independent Living program aims to develop and support a network of consumer-controlled, community-based, cross-disability, nonresidential private nonprofit agencies.
