The Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services awarded $9,266,040.35 under the State Medicaid Fraud Control Units federal grant program (CFDA #93.775) to the Attorney General of Minnesota for the period of October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.
The Attorney General of Minnesota Medicaid Fraud Control Unit will investigate and prosecute Medicaid provider fraud as well as patient abuse or neglect in health facilities, board and care facilities, and of Medicaid beneficiaries in non-institutional or other settings. The unit will deliver these services to help ensure integrity in Minnesota's Medicaid program and protect vulnerable Medicaid beneficiaries.
