About this award

The Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women awarded the Montana Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence $353,303 on October 1, 2025, under the State Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program (CFDA 16.556), a formula grant supporting coordination of state victim services and collaboration with federal, state, and local entities engaged in violence against women activities.

MCADSV, the state-designated coalition headquartered in Helena, Montana, uses formula grant funds to coordinate victim services activities across Montana, work with local sexual assault programs and direct-service providers to encourage appropriate responses to sexual assault, engage judicial and law enforcement agencies on sexual assault case response, collaborate with courts and child protective services on custody and visitation issues involving sexual assault, design and conduct public education campaigns, plan and monitor grant distribution within the state, and inform federal, state, and local officials on policies to reduce or eliminate sexual assault.
