About this award
The Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women awarded $243,213 to the Indiana Coalition To End Sexual Assault, Inc. on October 1, 2025, under the State Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program (CFDA 16.556), a formula grant supporting state and territory coalitions addressing domestic violence and sexual assault.
The award funds coordination of victim services activities and collaboration with federal, state, and local entities engaged in violence against women activities. Under the program's Sexual Assault Services Program set-aside, ICESAHT will work with local sexual assault programs and service providers, judicial and law enforcement agencies, courts, child protective services agencies, and children's advocates to develop appropriate responses to sexual assault cases and custody and visitation issues when sexual assault is a factor. The recipient will design and conduct public education campaigns, plan and monitor distribution of grant funds within Indiana, and collaborate with public officials and agencies to develop and implement policies reducing sexual assault. The award includes a program addition: ICESAHT will convene two leadership members from each rape crisis center and sexual assault service provider (typically the executive director and a deputy, or similar senior positions) for an in-person day-long meeting to discuss strategies for statewide coordination of sexual assault services and networking with state government agencies including the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute and Indiana Department of Health.
The performance period runs from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, with place of performance in Indianapolis, Indiana.
