THE ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS OF THIS PROGRAM INCLUDE PREVENTING DEGRADATION OF UNIMPAIRED WATERBODIES AND REDUCING THE NUMBER OF IMPAIRED WATERBODIES ON TRIBAL LANDS. ACTIVITIES:THE PUEBLO OF NAMBE WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT AN ON-GOING SURFACE WATER MONITORING PROGRAM TO CONDUCT MONTHLY SAMPLING OF THE NAMBE RESERVOIR, AND BUILD AND MAINTAIN TRIBAL CAPACITY. BASE PROGRAM ACTIVITIES WILL ALSO INCLUDE: REVIEW OF VARIOUS FEDERAL ACTIONS, PARTICIPATING IN PLANNING, AND ATTENDING APPROPRIATE TRAININGS AND CONFERENCES. ADMINISTER GRANT DELIVERABLES, MAINTAIN RECORDS, ASSIGN DUTIES AND SUPERVISE STAFF, CREATE QUARTERLY NARRATIVE REPORTS DEVELOP ANNUAL 106 WORKPLANS/GRANT APPLICATIONS, RESEARCH EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLY NEEDS AND PURCHASE WHEN NECESSARY UPDATE THE 'INTEGRATED WATER QUALITY REPORT' (IWQR) AND TRIBAL ASSESSMENT REPORT CWA 401 CERTIFICATION REWRITE THE QAPP FOR 2024-25 FIELD SAMPLING ACTIVITIES CONDUCT BI-WEEKLY AMBIENT WQ SAMPLING IN THE FIELD SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERABLES INCLUDE: NUMBER OF RECORDS OF WQ DATA ADDED TO DENR DATABASE AND EPA WQX; TWO QAPP DOCUMENTS ARE UPDATED; SUBMIT COPIES OF CWA 401 CERTIFICATIONS TO EPA; UPDATED IWQR. THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES INCLUDE: INCREASED ABILITY TO ANALYZE AND INTERPRET DATA FROM WQ DATA; UPDATED WAPP DOCUMENTS, CWA 401 PERMITS INCLUDE CONDITIONS NEEDED TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH NAMBE PUEBLO WATER QUALITY STANDARDS, INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF WQ RESOURCES, ISSUES, AND SUPPORTING MONITORING DATA; DETERMINE THE PHYSICAL, CHEMICAL, AND BIOLOGICAL CONDITIONS AND DESCRIBE THE CURRENT QUALITY OF SURFACE WATERS AND EVALUATE THEM AGAINST WATER QUALITY INDICATORS (WQI) IN THE NAMBE PUEBLO WATER QUALITY STANDARDS SO THAT FUTURE WATER QUALITY TRENDS CAN BE IDENTIFIED AND MEASURED IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT WATER QUALITY CAN BE MAINTAINED AND IMPROVED AS NECESSARY. DIRECT BENEFICIARIES OF THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT INCLUDE RESIDENTS OF THE PUEBLO OF NAMBE.
