About this award

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded a $22,047,600 Formula Grant to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) under the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program (CFDA 66.458). The grant funding will capitalize OWRB's CWSRF to provide low-interest financing for eligible water quality improvement and protection projects across Oklahoma. The key activities under this grant include planning, designing, and constructing water infrastructure projects such as wastewater treatment facility upgrades, stormwater management systems, and nonpoint source pollution control initiatives.

As part of this grant, OWRB will issue a $2,338,712 sub-award to the Edmond Public Works Department for two projects: 1) Replacing approximately 22,000 linear feet of aging sewer force main pipeline with high-density polyethylene pipes, and 2) Replacing 9,125 linear feet of interceptor sewer line, including two aerial crossings, 44 new manholes, and rehabilitation of 55 manholes. These infrastructure improvements will help protect water quality and public health for citizens in the Edmond area.
