Description

Specifically, rhode island deparment of health (RI D.O.H.) has identified goals and priorities consistent with the priorities outlined in EPA's state lead testing in school and child care program drinking water grant implementation document (found here: WWW.EPA.GOV/safewater/grants). Rhode island plans to sample 100% of participating public schools over three years, allowing the prioritization criteria outlined in the grant to be satisfied for this class of facility. In instances where all facilities cannot be tested, RI D.O.H. Will be developing a sampling plan that takes into account facilities located in lower income areas, those that focus on serving children 6 years of age and under, and older facilities constructed before 1988.
