LA - starbase - camp beauregard (pelican state) - 4101 - FY 26 new award

The Department of the Army Louisiana Army National Guard awarded a $583,500 cooperative agreement to the Department of Military Affairs Louisiana on October 1, 2025, under the STARBASE Program (CFDA 12.020) to deliver Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education to underserved youth at Camp Beauregard in Louisiana through September 30, 2026.

STARBASE is a congressionally directed, non-discretionary initiative conducted in partnership with local school districts that combines STEM activities with school-based mentoring for middle and high school students. The program aims to raise interest and improve knowledge and skills in STEM fields to develop a highly educated workforce capable of meeting Department of Defense technological requirements.

The Department of Military Affairs Louisiana, a subordinate agency of the State of Louisiana, serves as the prime recipient responsible for implementing the program at Camp Beauregard in Pineville. The award represents an FY 2026 new award plus a funding increase. Performance occurs in Louisiana, with the Department operating under its Adjutant General's authority as required for all state National Guard STARBASE recipients under the congressionally directed cooperative agreement structure.
