The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Adolescent Health awarded a $739,499 Cooperative Agreement through the Teenage Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) Program (CFDA 93.297) to Health Care Education & Training Inc., a non-profit organization. The Indiana Connected and Supported Teens (IN-CAST) project will provide evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention programs to 2,750 adolescents involved in the foster care and juvenile justice systems in Indiana over a 5-year period. The project will deliver programming in juvenile detention centers, community-based organizations, group/residential care facilities, and alternative high schools. IN-CAST will also provide training and education on healthy relationships, sex, and health to 750 stakeholders, including parents, child welfare/juvenile justice staff, and other youth-serving professionals. The project aims to improve reproductive and sexual health outcomes, safety, and well-being for systems-involved youth through a multi-level, community-driven approach.
