The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, through its Public Diplomacy Programs (CFDA 19.040) grant, awarded a $249,999.92 Cooperative Agreement to Education For Employment (EFE) to implement the StarTech Climate Action Lab (ST-CAL) project in Tunisia. The project aims to provide entrepreneurship and soft skills training to Tunisian youth interested in starting businesses focused on climate action.

Under this grant, EFE will partner with International Strategic Management, Inc. (ISM) to host a series of webinars on entrepreneurship, the green economy, and climate change, which will share American business practices and perspectives and connect Tunisian entrepreneurs to American markets and networks. EFE will also analyze market opportunities in Tunisia, customize its training curriculum, and provide entrepreneurship training and incubation support to 300 Tunisian university students, with the top 10 startups receiving a 5-month intensive incubation program. The project will run from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.
