Description

Oceanspace has developed a system for acquiring highly resolved images of aquatic organisms ranging in size from 0.5 MM to those with a maximum diameter of 10 MM (the width of the imaging chamber, equivalent to an organism maximum size [generally length] of 25 MM or larger). Associated deep-learning software, coupled with a library of taxonomically classified images, allows assignment of each image to taxon. Organism images are sized and enumerated within taxon. The system is continuous flow-through, delivers data in near-real-time, and is ideally suited for integration into flow streams. They will install two systems, one on the seaward side and the other on the plant side of a presently operating pilot wedgewire screen structure.
