THIS AGREEMENT SUPPORTS CONTINUED MONITORING OF NURSE SHARK BREEDING POPULATIONS AT DRY TORTUGAS NATIONAL PARK. THE RECIPPIENT WILL COLLECT VARIETY OF DATA INCLUDING NUMBER, AGE, AND SEX OF NURSE SHARKS BREEDING IN THE PARK WITH PARK OR AQUARIUM INTERNS OR STAFF, AND WILL TRACK SHARK MOVEMENT AND TIME OF BREEDING. THE RECIPIENT WILL ALSO AID THE PARK IN CREATING SHARK POPULATION SURVEY FOR IMPLEMENTATION AT DRY TORTUGAS. ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE POINTS TO INCREASING NUMBER OF SHARKS IN THE PARK THAT HAVE EFFECT ON PUBLIC SAFETY AND VISITATION.
